My wife and I went to Mr. Nevins to get assistance with our first go at estate planning. We had been putting it off for years. Finally, through my work benefits, I enlisted his help and have been extremely pleased from start to finish. First, his team does a great job in setting up appointments, following through on dates and action items, and prep work. All of my interactions with that team were very favorable.
We really appreciated Mr. Nevins honesty and candid feedback. Being new and naive to the whole process, he was very patient and offered his insight. At no time did we feel pressured; ultimately the decisions were ours, but we felt comfortable with the information he provided. | | Richard Nevins and Jennifer, his notary, are amazing. After years of trying, my grandmother finally agreed to get a will/trust completed. Yet, she was very anxious about the process, and her and I were new to this process as well. After getting advice from friends and doing research myself, I realized this is something EVERYONE should do to protect assets and avoid probate. I found Richard through Yelp and Google and reached out. I had a response from Jennifer with a quote later that day. It was very reasonable compared to what friends have paid.
When we arrived to the office, they were very welcoming. The office itself is set in an upgraded antique Riverside home, which my grandmother loved.
Richard greeted us and was very friendly. He started the meeting by educating us on the difference between and will and trust, and with our situation, a trust was better. He then asked that I step out of the room, since the this was for my grandmother and not me, and wanted to ensure that she understood he worked for her, and no one else. I really appreciated this; it showed he honors privacy and client rights. I was then welcomed back in the room with grandmothers. He was very calm and explained everything so well.
When it was time to sign papers, my grandmother happened to be in the hospital. I contacted them and they actually came to the hospital and allowed us to sign papers to finalize the process.
